Jennifer Ringo made her professional debut with the San Francisco Opera in the title role of Lucia di Lammermoor. She has sung leading roles with the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Grand Théâtre de Genève, Houston Grand Opera, and Canadian Opera Company. In addition to her concert activities, Miss Ringo has worked as diction coach for the Aspen Opera Theatre on productions of Lucia, Rigoletto, Giasone, Beatrice and Benedict, and La Traviata. She was responsible for the French preparation of Carmen at the Houston Grand Opera, as well as the preparing the chorus for recent Berlioz performances at the Cincinnati May Festival.

Miss Ringo was on the faculty of Joan Doarnemann's Institute of Vocal Arts in Montreal, Canada.

Jennifer Ringo regularly gives master classes at the Bard College Conservatory where she spent two years as the French, German, and Italian diction teacher. She is in her second year as a faculty member at USC where she prepares the singers at the Thornton School of Music as well as coaching the young artists in the Los Angeles Opera's Domingo/Thornton program. Miss Ringo is preparing the New York City Opera's production of Chabrier's L'Etoile and Weisgall's Esther.

Miss Ringo prepared The Three Graces in their recording for the Decca label and has also coached Anna Deveare Smith.

A former member of the Aspen Music Theater, Jennifer Ringo has returned regularly as soprano soloist and recently as narrator in Debussy's Chansons des Bilitis.

She is a graduate of the University of Iowa and the Juilliard School. She was winner of the Metropolitan Opera auditions, participated in the San Francisco Opera's Merola program, and was a member of the Houston Grand Opera Studio.
