Housing Intern

Our Housing Intern makes sure everyone is as cozy and happy as possible with their living situation so that they can concentrate on their artistry. Duties include providing and attending to the housing needs of faculty and students, helping with arrival, unpacking of materials and departure pack-up, including room assignments, key card activation and distribution, emailing new arrival faculty with all information necessary for arrival, room housekeeping before and after check-in, checking all rooms after Colburn cleaning, being emergency contact for residence hall needs 24/7 (all students are adults), assisting with welcome packets & check-in/check out, liaison with Colburn res-life and housing staff....

Hospitality Intern

Our Hospitality Intern helps to make everyone feel welcome, heard, and valued at SongFest from student to faculty, audience member to special guest. Duties include providing and attending to the hospitality needs of faculty and VIP’s (including airport transportation, travel details arrangement, faculty comfort, arrange faculty rooms with extra items provided by SongFest), assisting with check-in/check-out of students & faculty, front of the house hospitality during concert and master classes: welcome & answer questions, arranging flowers post-concert, coordination of post concert receptions, and proctoring during select master classes.

Program Intern

Our Program Intern learns the ins and outs of an arts organization, helping the program administrator to make sure that all the little behind the scene facets are taken care of that allow a program the size and complexity of SongFest to flourish. Duties include providing clerical assistance to the program administrator during the festival including printing, creation, distribution of schedules, calendar and program updates, copying and distribution of musical material for masterclasses, typing up of masterclass and concert programs, creation and invitation of events on Facebook & Twitter, receiving/delivering messages from SongFest office by phone and in person, act as first stop for student logistical questions, make sure rooms are available and ready for faculty/classes/IT needs, front of house at masterclasses/concerts, keep track of tickets/guests/sign people up for email list, record select masterclasses/concerts, and liaison with Colburn production team.
