Internationally acclaimed mezzo-soprano Susanne Mentzer, a star in the Metropolitan Opera’s new production of Le Nozze di Figaro this past season, provides an unparalleled, behind-the-scenes look at her day-to-day work. Illustrated with photos from Mentzer's private archive, the conversation will lead us through her life, from morning warmups, to costume fittings, to rehearsals and coachings with maestro James Levine.
SongFest Associate Artistic Director Matthew Morris will lead a conversation with Mentzer followed by a special performance of an aria and a teaching demonstration with a SongFest Young Artist.
