About Our Participants
Temple Hammen
Temple Hammen, lyric soprano, is completing her Master's studies at Mannes School of Music in New York City. This year, she was to cover the title role of Dafne in La Dafne and making her Lincoln Center debut as a soloist in Steve Reich’s Tehillim.
Ms. Hammen's previous performances include Filia in Carissimi’s Jephta, Iolanthe in Gilbert and Sullivan’s Iolanthe, Un Patré in Poulenc’s L'enfant Et Les Sortileges, and Una Conversa in Puccini’s Suor Angelica at Westminster’s Opera Theater. She has performed in the first American production of Lachenmann’s The Little Match Girl (Spoleto Festival USA) and was to perform the world premier of Sheila Silver's On Trees at SongFest (rescheduled for June 2021). Ms. Hammen has been seen in Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Serenade to Music (Spoleto Festival USA), Beethoven Choral Fantasy, Mozart’s Vesperae Solennes and Bach’s Wachet Auf.
