SongFest 2023 is thrilled to hold SongFest on the beautiful campus of Vanderbilt University at the Blair School of Music located at 2400 Blakemore Ave, Nashville, TN. We hope you will attend some of the concerts, which are open to the public.


Residence Hall

Mayfield Place

Mayfield offers a unique living arrangement of 20 lodges with a maximum of 10 residents each. Each two-story lodge has 10 single bedrooms, a common area, two baths, a microwave, a 21 inch stove, a sink, and a full-size refrigerator. All have hard surface flooring, carpeting on the stairs, and are fully air-conditioned. Each resident will have a private bedroom. All linens are provided – one set for the 3-week period.

Includes: A set of towels, a blanket and pillow. 

Mayfield houses laundry facilities and is steps away from the Blair School of Music.

Residential Dining Halls

All residential participants can choose from any of the four Residential Dining Halls – Commons, E. Bronson Ingram, Nicholas S. Zeppos and Rothschild for meals.

There are vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options. Please note the hours listed on the Vanderbilt Blair School of Music website may change for the summer months.

The SongFest meal plan includes:

  • 3 meals per day on weekdays.

  • 2 meals per day on weekends.

  • June 2, 2023 – First meal is dinner.

  • June 24, 2022 – Last meal is breakfast.

Each participant will be issued a Commodore Card that includes the meal money. Commuters must be included in the Vanderbilt Dining Plan. For meal plans costs visit the Tuition/Fees page HERE.

Performance Halls

Martha Rivers Ingram Center for the Performing Arts

Since the opening of the Martha Ingram Center for the Performing Arts in 2002, Ingram Hall has been a premier venue for the fulfillment of dreams for thousands of young artists. It has also been the location for two Grammy-nominated recordings, performances of world premieres by the Nashville Opera and Nashville Ballet and live television broadcasts. Every type of event has been staged here. Grand celebrations with on-stage dining, spectacular lighting and multimedia entertainment are a specialty.

Completed in 2001, the performance wing includes:

  • Ingram Hall, a 609-seat performance hall with full staging capability, including orchestra pit, opera scene shop, loading dock, dressing rooms and green room

  • Choral Rehearsal Hall, with interactive technology, seats 80

  • Instrumental Rehearsal Hall for performance, classes and overflow seating

  • Conductors’ offices and administrative offices

  • NightPro audio recording studio


Steve and Judy Turner Recital Hall

Steve and Judy Turner Recital Hall is a 272-seat recital hall that debuted in 1980 as part of Blair School of Music's original construction. Noted for its intimacy and warm acoustics, Turner Recital Hall embodies the artistic soul of Blair. It is the principal performing space for Blair faculty and student solo recitals, hosting more than 150 performances annually. It is equipped with two Steinway concert grand pianos, a pipe organ, and audio and video recording system.

Cyrus Daniel Choral Hall

The Choral Hall was part of the Martha Ingram Center for the Performing Arts construction that was completed in 2001. The intimacy of this 80-seat venue combined with its interactive technology has made it an ideal host to a number of recitals, master classes, rehearsals, workshops and larger classes.
